SOUSA, Eric Robert - Eric Robert Sousa, 17 years of Ivoryton, died on Sunday (Aug 13, 2006). Eric was born in Middletown on May 30, 1989, son of David J. and Rosemary (Plank) Sousa of Ivoryton and is also survived by a brother, Michael D. Sousa of Ivoryton, maternal grandparents Patricia and Donald Rankin of Chester, paternal grandparents Paul and the late Barbara Sousa of Higganum; great grandmother, Rose Bevivino of Cos Cob; aunts, Tracey Plank of Old Saybrook, Jamie Guifarro of Colchester and a special cousin, Brandon. He loved his family, his friends and his music. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, August 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, Chester. Burial will be private. Visiting hours on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St., Centerbrook. Contributions in his memory may be made to Valley Regional Touchdown Club, c/o Lynn Gualazzi, 102 Mares Hill Rd., Ivoryton, CT 06442.
